Abstract (en)
A description is given of a side termination for metallic exterior window sills. The side termination comprises a side-termination part 1 which is formed as a casing-profile part, open on one side, and has a vertical side wall 2 and horizontal legs 3, 4, 5, of which the upper leg is a covering leg serving as a rendering-protection means and visible surface, and of which the two lower legs together form a chamber 10 which receives the window-sill end. A sprung part 6 effecting a plurality of functions can be inserted into said chamber. The sprung part fixedly clamps the side part 1 when the latter is slid onto the window sill; it ensures, by means of a stop which is configured resiliently in the horizontal direction, that the side part, on mounting, can be pushed onto the window sill only to such an extent that an initially predetermined desired expansion clearance remains reliably intact; and, on insertion, it fixes itself, as a single-piece part, in the receiving chamber of the side-termination part itself. The side termination is of simple structural design, is easy to mount and, even in building-site conditions, can be mounted reliably in the sense that the expansion clearance is reliably ensured. In the installed state, damage due to the change in length of the window sill caused by temperature fluctuations can thus be reliably avoided. The side termination offers, at the same time, an aesthetically pleasing appearance from the front, including the transition between window sill and window-reveal rendering. <IMAGE>

Der Seitenabschluß umfaßt ein als einseitig offenes Kastenprofilteil ausgebildetes Seitenabschlußteil (1) mit einer vertikalen Seitenwandung (2) und Horizontalschenkeln (3,4,5), von welchen der obere ein als Verputzschutz und Sichtfläche dienender Deckschenkel ist und die beiden unteren miteinander eine das Fensterbankende aufnehmende Kammer (10) bilden; in diese Kammer ist ein mehrere Funktionen ausübendes Federteil (6) einsetzbar. <IMAGE>
