[origin: EP0590315A2] At least one radiant heating resistor (10) consisting of a corrugated flat material strip has projections (28) which project in different directions from a corrugated longitudinal edge (14), on the one hand engaged in insulation (3) for retention and on the other hand form longitudinal sections (39) of slightly reduced electrical resistance, which longitudinal sections (39) appear dark in comparison with the interposed visibly glowing longitudinal sections (38) at the normal operating power. In consequence, when brought into use, this results in the corresponding longitudinal sections (38) illuminating in a manner which starts very quickly, is in the form of a point and then spreads to form a corrugated line, as well as the heating resistor (10) being anchored very reliably. <IMAGE>
