Die Erfindung beschreibt eine Positioniervorrichtung (43) und ein Verfahren zum Positionieren für einen Werkzeugträger (33) für eine Bearbeitungs- und/oder Befüllvorrichtung (37) für Behälter, insbesondere Fässer (2), mit einer Fördervorrichtung (5) und einer Wiegevorrichtung (3) für die Behälter bzw. Transportpaletten (9). Diese weist eine mit einem Antrieb (29) versehene Vorschubvorrichtung (18) für den Werkzeugträger (33) und eine Erfassungsvorrichtung (36) für eine Einfüllöffnung (38) und eine Steuervorrichtung (42) zur Ausrichtung des Werkzeugträgers (33) und der Einfüllöffnung (38) bzw. des Behälters aufeinander, bei der ein Ausgang (66) der Erfassungsvorrichtung (36) über eine Leitung (41) mit einem Eingang (67) der Steuervorrichtung (42) für den Antrieb (29), z.B. Getriebemotor (30) der Vorschubvorrichtung (18) verbunden ist, wobei die Steuervorrichtung (42) eine Auswerteeinheit (70) für die Bezugsposition und/oder eine Recheneinheit (75) aufweist. An einer der Erfassungsvorrichtung (36), z.B. einem Scanner (35) zugewandten Oberfläche (24) ist dabei am Behälter, z.B. einem Faß (2), zumindest ein in zwei unterschiedlichen Raumrichtungen eine Bezugsposition festlegender, Markierungen (40) aufweisender Kennzeichnungsträger (39,80) angeordnet. <IMAGE>
