Abstract (en)

The invention relates to a means of increasing the visibility of an object without using supplementary light energy by using the phenomenon of simultaneous contrast and of successive contrast, in an appropriate way. To this end, the object is covered with several regions coloured alternately with any complementary colours. A rotational or translational movement brings the contrast into play and the object appears to be illuminated if the colours are bright. Thus a rotating alarm light is produced, without a light source, or a very visible advertising poster.

L'invention concerne un moyen d'augmenter la visibilité d'un objet sans apport d'énergie lumineuse supplémentaire en utilisant de façon appropriée le phénomène de contraste simultané et de contraste successif. A cette fin l'objet est recouvertde plusieurs plages colorées alternativement avec des couleurs complémentaires quelconques. Un mouvement de rotation ou de translation fait jouer le contraste et l'objet parait s'illuminer si les teintes sont claires. On constitue ainsi un gyrophare d'alarme sans source lumineuse ou une affiche publicitaire très visible<
