L'invention se rapporte à une fenêtre factice (15) qui comprend: une boîte comportant une paroi postérieure (17e) et des parois latérales (17a-17d) délimitant un espace intérieur dont l'ouverture est orientée longitudinalement vers l'avant; des feuilles transparentes (5) qui s'étendent latéralement en travers de l'espace intérieur et auxquelles est associé un motif visible destiné à être éclairé par la lumière dirigée vers l'avant depuis l'intérieur de la boîte; une source lumineuse montée dans la boîte; un réflecteur monté dans la boîte, qui sert à réfléchir la lumière depuis la source lumineuse dans une direction allant vers les feuilles transparentes (5), afin d'assurer l'éclairage du motif visible; ainsi qu'un élément qui sert à réguler l'éclairage du motif visible, en fonction d'au moins une dimension latérale.
