[origin: EP0591824A2] The invention relates to a device for winding at least one synthetic thread, especially on a stretch-winding machine with a rotatable bobbin tube 1, with a driven friction roller 3 touching the outer circumference of the bobbin tube 1, with a traversing device 4 for the synthetic thread 5 and with a collar 6 rotating synchronously with the bobbin tube 1 and having a larger diameter than the bobbin tube. According to the invention, the collar 6 is arranged next to the friction casing of the friction roller 3 and is designed for receiving the initial length of the synthetic thread, the bobbin tube 1 being assigned a thread-guide device 8 for guiding the thread 5 running onto the collar 6 into the region of the bobbin tube 1. <IMAGE>
