[origin: EP0591826A2] A transport safety device and shipping package for masses (1) having oscillating motion arranged in a housing, in particular washing machines, has a fastening and securing device for the mass (1) having oscillation motion composed of elastic transverse supports (6) and longitudinal supports (7) which are located outside the housing (4) and can be connected via the securing members (9) to the mass (1) having oscillating motion. The longitudinal supports (7) incorporate corner padding. The transverse supports (6) are a constituent part of the transport safety device. The longitudinal supports (7) and transverse supports (6) consist of a material group which is readily recyclable. <IMAGE>
