Abstract (en)

[origin: EP0591904A1] A connecting device (ganging device), which is constructed in a U-shape for simultaneous operation of the switching toggles (16, 17), which can rotate about a rotation axis (shaft) (14, 15), of at least two switches (10, 11) which are arranged in a row, has limbs which surround the switching toggles on both sides in the assembled state. Formed regions in the form of tabs (34) are integrally formed on the inner surfaces of the limbs, which tabs (34) engage in corresponding depressions (19, 20) which are arranged on side surfaces (which lie parallel to the rotation axis) of the switching toggles, partially covering the side surfaces in the direction of the rotation axes, and open into an end wall (21, 22), which lies at right angles to the rotation axis, of the switching toggles, it being possible to install the connecting device from only one side of the switch, in the direction of the rotation axes. The connecting device (23) is formed from plastic and has a latching tab (35) which is integrally formed on the inside of the U-shape at the end which is located at the front seen in the installation direction, so that, once the tabs have been installed in the depressions, the connecting device is prevented from being pulled off both in the installation direction and in the direction of the switching toggles (P1), and the latching tab prevents pulling off in the opposite direction to the installation direction. <IMAGE>
