[origin: EP0592705A1] The device consists of a modular main die (1) in which each part of the device can be replaced individually and the stop zone is free from guide elements. The main die (1) is provided with cutting and guide plates (11) and with an anvil (6) arranged opposite the punches. Hinges and cutting and stop punches are guided in the plates (11). The anvil (6) is secured in a stop yoke (4) which is provided essentially perpendicular to the feed direction of the hinges and spans the die housing in the manner of the arch of a gate. <IMAGE>
