Abstract (en)

[origin: EP0593142A1] The invention relates to a pair of edging rolls for edging the flange extremities of symmetrical steel sections, particularly I sections, each edging roll having a barrel which engages in the inner contour of the section and guides the said section and two edging paths for the flange extremities of the section, these paths adjoining the barrel on both sides and extending conically outwards. In order to permit a suitable centre-position setting of the sections while providing optimum guidance in the case of widened flanges with the edging roll being adjustable to the changed diameter differences between the edging path and the outside diameter of the barrel, it is proposed that the edging path (5) be arranged on the outer circumference of bushes (7) guided in coaxially displaceable fashion (8) on the roll body (6) on both sides of the barrel (4), the mutually facing ends (9) of these bushes engaging in annular recesses (10) in the barrel (4). <IMAGE>
