Abstract (en)
The sports sock has a leg region (10), a heel region (14), a sole region (15), a ball region (17) and a toe region (16), knitted from a continuous basic yarn (G), some or all of these regions being reinforced. The reinforced regions are produced by means of additional yarns which are knitted together with the basic yarn. In order to obtain a soft and agreeable cushioning, the said additional yarns form plush loops. In the basic yarn (G), a first and a second additional yarn (P1, P2) can be knitted into the toe region and heel region (16 and 14 respectively) and a first and a third additional yarn (P1, P3) can be knitted into the sole region (15), whilst the ball region (17) can be knitted from the basic yarn (G) and from the three additional yarns (P1, P2, P3). The reinforcements thus formed constitute plush loops, the density of which can be higher in the ball region (17) than in the remaining reinforced regions. <IMAGE>

Die Sportsocke hat einen Schaftbereich (10), einen Fersenbereich (14), einen Sohlenbereich (15), einen Ballenbereich (17) und einen Zehenbereich (16), gestrickt aus einem durchgehenden Grundgarn (G), wobei einzelne oder alle dieser Bereiche verstärkt sind. Die verstärkten Bereiche werden durch Zusatzgarne erzeugt, welche mit dem Grundgarn verstrickt werden. Um eine weiche und angenehme Polsterung zu erhalten, bilden die genannten Zusatzgarne Plüschschlingen. Im Grundgarn (G) kann im Zehen- und Fersenbereich (16 bzw. 14) ein erstes und ein zweites Zusatzgarn (P1, P2) und im Sohlenbereich (15) ein erstes und ein drittes Zusatzgarn (P1, P3) eingestrickt sein, während der Ballenbereich (17) aus dem Grundgarn (G) und aus den drei Zusatzgarnen (P1, P2, P3) gestrickt sein kann. Die so gebildeten Verstärkungen bilden Plüschschlingen, deren Dichte im Ballenbereich (17) höher sein kann als in den übrigen, verstärkten Bereichen. <IMAGE>
