[origin: WO9301354A1] A noise reduction device for railway tracks in which a cover running along the line is fitted on both sides of each rail to reduce the noise given off into the environment during railway operation. In order effectively to suppress noise, according to the invention the cover comprises an outer wall (1) running along the rail fitted at a lateral distance from the rail web and extending from the head (7c) to the foot (7a) of the rail or to the sleeper (9) and inside which is fitted a noise-damping absorbent material (3) with a high degree of sound absorption. There is an air gap (8) between the surface of the sound absorbing material (3) facing the rail (7) and the rail itself.

Dispositif d'insonorisation pour voies ferrées, dans lequel pour la réduction du son émis par les rails dans l'environnement pendant le passage des trains, un recouvrement est disposé des deux côtés de chaque rail dans le sens de leur longueur. Pour la suppression effective du bruit, l'invention prévoit que le recouvrement comporte une paroi extérieure (1) le long des rails, ladite paroi allant, à distance latérale par rapport à l'âme de rail, du champignon de rail (7c) jusqu'au patin de rail (7a), ou jusqu'à la traverse (9), et à l'intérieur de laquelle est disposé un matériau absorbant les bruits aériens et possédant un degré élevé d'absorption phonique (3). Entre la surface, orientée vers le rail (7) et absorbant les bruits aériens, du matériau d'insonorisation (3) et le rail lui-même est disposés un espace d'air (8).
