Cooking plates with cooking areas in the form of a glass-ceramic cover have function elements such as operating and display elements which are integrated into the cooking plate. To increase the usability and to improve the maintainability of the function elements, the latter are combined in at least one function area which is arranged as a function part (unit) spatially separated from the cooking area and in such a way that it can be separately exchanged.

Kochfelder mit Kochflächen in Form einer Glaskeramikabdeckung weisen Funktionselemente wie Bedien- und Anzeigeelemente auf, die in das Kochfeld integriert sind. Zur Erhöhung der Gebrauchsfähigkeit und der Verbesserung der Wartungsfähigkeit der Funktionselemente sind diese in mindestens einem Funktionsbereich zusammengefaßt, der als Funktionsteil (Einheit) von der Kochfläche räumlich getrennt und separat austauschbar angeordnet ist.
