Abstract (en)

[origin: EP0593951A2] A method for controlling a thread store on a spinning machine is proposed. When threads are being wound, it can happen, for example during the formation of conical bobbins, that more thread is delivered than is wound. The thread briefly in excess is picked up in the form of a thread loop by a jockey arm which engages transversely into the thread run and which is mounted pivotably. It is proposed, according to the invention that the jockey arm be loaded by a spring which loads it with increasing force when the thread loop decreases, and that, in the event of further deflection, the force of an additional elastic element acts on the jockey arm. <IMAGE>
