[origin: EP0594064A1] In a storage tower (2) which is of rectangular outline, in each case one parking space (9) for a car is provided on a plurality of storey levels (8) located vertically one above the other. For simple adaptation to local conditions, it is proposed that there be provided, on one side of the storage tower (2), a lift system (1) which extends over the height of said tower and the platform (3) of which can move to the height of the storey levels (8) and can be aligned such that it is coplanar therewith. Both the lift platform (3) and the parking spaces (9) are provided with conveying devices (11 to 19) in order to move a car from the platform (3) onto the parking space (9) or from the parking space (9) onto the platform (3). <IMAGE>
