[origin: JPH06191004A] PURPOSE: To provide an erasable printing plate capable of being made reusable in an offset printing method. CONSTITUTION: A strong minute dipole is provided in the outside layer of a printing plate having a hydrophobic surface and a coating material suitable for an image is applied to the surface thereof and a non-image area is succeedingly made hydrophilic by a hydrophilizing agent. By this constitution, the hydrophilicity of the area made hydrophilic is still held even after the number of rotations exceeding 10,000 of a cylinder and the peel of the material applied in order to mask the image area absorbing a color does not change a printed image during a printing process because the fundamental material of the printing plate exposed at a time of peel is hydrophobic.
