[origin: WO9302333A1] Described is a sub-calibre projectile of the sabot (pusher-plate) type with discarding cap segments (11). The projectile has a pressure plate (15) with a rearwards-projecting alignment spike (16) which is inserted into a pressure piece (18). Held between the pressure plate (15) and the pressure piece (18) are the bases (24, 25) of the cap segments (11), thus enabling very high gas-pressure forces to be transmitted and the cap segments to be discarded without affecting the target accuracy of the projectile.

Un projectile sous-calibré du type à sabot (pusher plate) avec des segments de coiffe largables (11) dispose d'une plaque de pression (15) avec un mandrin de centrage faisant saillie vers l'arrière (16) inséré dans un élément de pression (18). Entre la plaque de pression (15) et l'élément de pression (18) sont serrés des éléments de fond (24, 25) des segments (11), ce qui permet d'obtenir une transmission de forces de pression de gaz très élevées et le détachement des segments sans répercussions défavorables sur la précision au but du projectile.
