The pocket folder is provided with folding rolls (W1, W2, W3) which are adjustable to different folding gap widths, are resiliently and pivotably movable with respect to one another, are mounted in two-armed pivot-lever pairs (22, 23) so as to be rotatable and, with a further folding roll (W2, W3) in each case, form a draw-in point and folding point respectively (E and F1). At least one folding pocket (7) is present, the feed gap (14) of which has a minimum width and is resiliently variable corresponding to the thickness of the material to be folded. To be able to process material to be folded of widely varying thickness with good folding quality, at least one of the finger-like and/or strip-like delimiting elements (13, 15) forming the feed gap (14) of a folding pocket (1) is, to enlarge the draw-in gap (14), movable by means of actuating elements (30, 31) of the pivot-lever pair (22, 23) which bears the pivotably movable folding roll (W2, W3) of the roll pair which forms the draw-in gap (E) and folding gap (F1, F2) respectively disposed directly upstream of the folding pocket. <IMAGE>

Die Stauchfalzmaschine ist mit auf unterschiedliche Falzspaltweiten einstellbaren und gegeneinander federnd schwenkbeweglichen Falzwalzen (W1, W2, W3) versehen, die jeweils in zweiarmigen Schwenkhebelpaaren (22, 23) drehbar gelagert sind und die mit jeweils einer weiteren Falzwalze (W2, W3) eine Einzugs -bzw. Falzstelle (E bzw.F1) bilden. Es ist wenigstens eine Falztasche (7) vorhanden, deren Einlaufspalt (14) eine Mindestweite aufweist und der Falzgutdicke entsprechend federnd veränderbar ist. Um stark unterschiedlich dickes Falzgut mit guter Falzqualität einwandfrei verarbeiten zu können ist wenigstens eines der aus fingerartigen und/oder leistenartigen, den Einlaufspalt (14) einer Falztasche (1) bildenden Begrenzungselemente (13, 15) zur Vergrößerung des Einlaufspaltes (14) durch Betätigungsorgane (30, 31) des Schwenkhebelpaares (22, 23) bewegbar, welches die schwenkbewegliche Falzwalze (W2, W3) des Walzenpaares trägt, das den unmittelbar vor der Falztasche liegenden Einzugsspalt (E) bzw. Falzspalt (F1, F2) bildet. <IMAGE>
