[origin: EP0595172A1] A system for recovering vapour during the loading and unloading of tankers having a lockable connection (30, 31) for a vapour displacement pipe for connection to a tank to be filled and having a lockable connection (40) for a vapour recovery pipe for connection to a loading station is described in which according to the invention the individual tank sections (35) of the tanker are connected to a common vapour collection pipe (38), to which vapour collection pipe (38) there are connected the connection (40) for the vapour recovery pipe and the connection (30, 31) for the vapour displacement pipe, these connections being alternately blockable. Provision is preferably made for a built-in assembly (34) to be arranged on the underside of the tanker to permit the simultaneous connection of two vapour displacement pipes and a vent valve (33). The invention makes it possible to effect a considerable reduction in the outlay on pipes and fittings in a tanker. <IMAGE>
