Abstract (en)
A clamping mechanism (B) moves between a non-clamping and a clamping positions along periphery of a plate cylinder (1). The mechanism (B) has a clamping block (20) and a moveable plate (21) which is attached to the block (20). The plate (21) is opened and closed with respect to the block (20) so as to clamp an end of a printing plate (3) in cooperation with the block (20). At the time of clamping operation, the block is moved from the non-clamping position to the clamping position by a moving mechanism (E). Thus, clamping mechanism (B) moves from the non-clamping position to the clamping position with the plate (21) being opened, and clamps the unfolded end of the printing plate (3). <IMAGE>
