Abstract (en)

[origin: WO9302176A1] The invention concerns the production of high-bulk-density solid washing and cleaning agents with improved dissolving speed, produced by mixing solid and liquid washing-agent raw materials and, at the same time or subsequently, modifying the form of the particles in the mixture and, if required, drying it. Anionic surfactants, builders and alkalisation agents are added as the solid components, and non-anionic surfactants as the liquid components. To improve the dissolution behaviour and to facilitate mixing, the liquid non-ionic surfactants are used intimately mixed with a structure breaker in the ratio by wt. of non-ionic surfactant: structure-breaker of 10:1 to 1:2. Preferred structure-breakers are poly(ethylene glycol) or poly(propylene glycol) with a relative molecular weight between 200 and 12,000, addition products produced by reacting about 20 to 80 moles of ethylene oxide with 1 mole of an aliphatic alcohol with substantially 8 to 20 carbon atoms, and mixtures thereof.
