[origin: WO9323587A1] A process is disclosed for applying a short-time pulse of a material of high energy and density on the surface of a solid body, in particular the surface of a material. The energy stored in an energy storage is supplied to an energy converter and there it is transmitted into an energy carrier to be accelerated as a gas, liquid and/or solid in the direction of the surface of the solid body, in such a way that the pulse which hits the surface of the solid body interacts with the marginal layer of the solid body and causes changes in the structure, texture and/or composition of this extremely thin marginal layer, without affecting the base material.

L'invention concerne un procédé visant à appliquer une brève impulsion d'une matière d'énergie et de densité élevées sur la surface d'un solide, notamment la surface d'un matériau. L'énergie stockée dans un accumulateur est acheminée dans un convertisseur d'énergie pour y être transférée sur un porteur d'énergie, à activer sous forme d'un gaz et/ou d'un liquide et/ou d'une matière solide, dans la direction de la surface du solide, de manière que l'impulsion produite sur la surface du solide entre en interaction avec la couche marginale du solide et qu'elle entraîne des modifications au niveau de la texture et/ou de la structure et/ou de la composition de cette couche marginale extrêmement mince, sans altérer pour autant le matériau de base.
