Abstract (en)
A product for pickling surfaces of chromium-nickel steels and chromium steels contains sulphuric acid, phosphoric acid or mixtures thereof and Fe(III) ions, the product additionally containing fluoboric acid. Using this product, it is possible to pickle surfaces of chromium-nickel steels and chromium steels in such a way that undesired oxide coatings, contaminations and tarnishing colours are removed. In the case of this product, the use of hydrofluoric acid or hydrofluoric acid in addition to nitric acid is unnecessary.

Mittel zum Beizen der Oberfläche von Chromnickelstählen und Chromstählen, welche Schwefelsäure, Phosphorsäure oder deren Mischungen und Fe(III)-Ionen enthält, wobei das Mittel zusätzlich Fluorborsäure enthält. Mit diesem Mittel gelingt es, Oberflächen von Chromnickelstählen und Chromstählen so zu beizen, daß unerwünschte Oxidbeläge, Verunreinigungen und Anlauffarben entfernt werden. Bei dem Mittel kann insbesondere auf Flußsäure bzw. Flußsäure neben Salpetersäure verzichtet werden.
