In order to individualise the synchronisation of a control apparatus (2) for the central locking and anti-theft protection of a motor vehicle which is equipped with a receiver for receiving wireless-transmitted, encoded function commands, a method is proposed which is distinguished by the fact that the individualisation and synchronisation of the control apparatus (2) takes place at the end of the production process of the control apparatus (2) in a wireless fashion by means of a particular motor vehicle key (1) which contains the necessary characteristic data, is intended for continuous use by the subsequent user of the vehicle and has a sensor, a microprocessor, a pseudo-random generator, a program memory, a non-volatile memory, a battery and an activation device. <IMAGE>

Zur Individualisierung der Synchronisierung eines Steuergeräts (2) für die Zentralverriegelung und Diebstahlsicherung eines Kraftfahrzeugs kann man das zum Empfang von drahtlos übertragenen, verschlüsselten Funktionsbefehlen mit einem Empfänger ausgerüstet ist, wird ein Verfahren vorgeschlagen, das dadurch gekennzeichnet ist, daß am Ende des Fertigungsprozesses des Steuergerätes (2) dessen Individualisierung und Synchronisierung drahtlos mittels eines die erforderlichen Kenndaten enthaltenden für den ständigen Gebrauch durch den späteren Fahrzeugnutzer bestimmten Kraftfahrzeugschlüssels (1) erfolgt, der einen Sensor, einen Mikroprozessor, einen Pseudo-Zufallsgenerator, einen Programmspeicher, einen nichtflüchtigen Speicher, eine Batterie und eine Betätigungseinrichtung aufweist. <IMAGE>
