A process for handling and conveying, without damage, paper rolls which are prepared with adhesive and can be introduced without further treatment into the roll exchanger of rotary printing machines uses for the conveying and handling thereof, conveying and handling devices known per se, such as floor-level mounted, circulating slat conveyors, roll preparation stations and package-type conveyors operating intermittently and with conveying carriages. Said process operates such that the slat conveyor belt 2 of a continuous conveyor bearing the still-packaged paper rolls extends from one side to between the bearing and drive rollers 3 of the roller preparation device 4 and that the split roller conveying tracks 5 of an intermittently operating conveyor, from the other side, are thus arranged spatially between the bearing and drive rollers 3 of the roll preparation device 4 and enclose the slat conveyor belt 2, as a result of which, after completed lifting, unpackaging and preparation with adhesive of the paper roll 1, a conveyor carriage 6 of the intermittently operating roller conveyor 5 can be introduced between the slat conveyor belt 2 and the respective lifted paper roll 1. <IMAGE>

Ein Verfahren zum beschädigungsfreien Handhaben und Transportieren von klebervorbereiteten Papierrollen, die ohne weitere Behandlung in die Rollenwechsler von Rotations-Druckmaschinen eingebracht werden können und für deren Transport und Handhabung an sich bekannte Förder- und Handhabungsvorrichtungen wie bodeneben eingebaute, umlaufende Schuppenbänder, Rollenvorbereitungsstationen und intermittierend sowie mit Transportwagen arbeitende Stückgutförderer Verwendung finden, arbeitet derart, daß das die noch verpackten Papierrollen tragende Schuppentransportband 2 eines Stetigförderers von der einen Seite bis zwischen die Trag- und Antriebsrollen 3 der Rollenvorbereitungsvorrichtung 4 reicht, und daß von der anderen Seite die geteilten Rollenförderstrecken 5 eines intermittierend arbeitenden Förderers räumlich so zwischen den Trag- und Antriebsrollen 3 der Rollenvorbereitungsvorrichtung 4 angeordnet sind und das Schuppentransportband 2 umschließen, wodurch nach dem erfolgten Abheben, Auspacken und Klebevorbereiten der Papierrolle 1 ein Transportwagen 6 des intermittierend arbeitenden Rollenförderers 5 zwischen das Schuppentransportband 2 und der jeweils angehobenen Papierrolle 1 einfahrbar ist. <IMAGE>
