A gas or oil burner has a burnable gas/oil nozzle (1) which can be supplied with burnable gas or oil by means of a burnable gas/oil supply line (4) and from which a burnable gas/oil jet can be radiated, and an atomising nozzle (2) which is arranged downstream of the burnable gas/oil nozzle (1) and can be supplied with condensed atomising gas by means of a gas supply line (7) and in which a nozzle space is formed, which widens in the direction of the opening and in which the burnable gas/oil jet and the atomising gas can be mixed thoroughly and the resulting burnable gas/atomising gas or oil/atomising gas flow can be acted upon with a twist. To simplify the device technically and for the purpose of achieving a longer life of a flame pipe surrounding the burner coaxially, gas radiating ducts (6) are formed in the atomising nozzle (2), which are arranged in differing directions perpendicularly to the main flow direction of the burnable gas/oil jet emerging from the burnable gas/oil nozzle (1), the longitudinal axes of which have a spacing from the main flow or central axis (5) of the burnable gas/oil jet and the overall flow cross-section of which is sufficiently large in order to radiate the combustion air necessary for the combustion process with the or as atomising gas through the gas radiating ducts (6) into the nozzle space of the atomising nozzle (2). <IMAGE>

Ein Gas-/Ölbrenner hat eine Brenngas-/Öldüse (1), die mittels einer Brenngas-/Ölzufuhrleitung (4) mit Brenngas bzw. Öl versorgbar ist und aus der ein Brenngas-/Ölstrahl abstrahlbar ist, und eine Zerstäuberdüse (2), die stromab der Brenngas-/Öldüse (1) angeordnet und mittels einer Gaszufuhrleitung (7) mit verdichtetem Zerstäubergas versorgbar ist und in der ein sich in Öffnungsrichtung erweiternder Düsenraum ausgebildet ist, in dem der Brenngas-/ Ölstrahl und das Zerstäubergas durchmischbar und der entstehende Brenngas-/Zerstäubergas- bzw. Öl/Zerstäubergasstrom mit einem Drall beaufschlagbar sind. Zur technischen Vereinfachung des Geräts und zwecks Erreichung einer höheren Lebensdauer eines den Brenner koaxial umgebenden Flammrohres sind in der Zerstäuberdüse (2) Gasabstrahlkanäle (6) ausgebildet, die in unterschiedlichen Richtungen senkrecht zur Hauptströmungsrichtung des aus der Brenngas-/Öldüse (1) austretenden Brenngas-/Ölstrahls angeordnet sind, deren Längsachsen einen Abstand zur Hauptströmungs- bzw. Mittelachse (5) des Brenngas-/Ölstrahls aufweisen und deren gesamter Strömungsquerschnitt ausreichend groß ist, um die für den Verbrennungsvorgang erforderliche Verbrennungsluft mit dem bzw. als Zerstäubergas durch die Gasabstrahlkanäle (6) in den Düsenraum der Zerstäuberdüse (2) abzustrahlen. <IMAGE>
