The invention relates to a timepiece of the type comprising: - a case (2), - a battery hatch (4) formed by a housing (6) accommodated inside the case (2) in order to receive an electrical energy source formed by a battery (P), and - means of closing the housing (6), these means including a removable cover (14) capable of being mechanically latched to the case (2) and a gasket (16) fashioned so as to be interposed between the cover (14) and the case (2), this piece being characterised in that the gasket (16) is a solid lip seal extending over the whole front surface (SF) of the battery (P) and affording, in addition to the sealing of the housing (6), an axial rest for the battery (P) towards one end of the housing (6). <IMAGE>

L'invention concerne une pièce d'horlogerie du type comportant: une boîte (2), une trappe de pile (4) formée par un logement (6) ménagé à l'intérieur de la boîte (2) pour recevoir une source d'énergie électrique formée par une pile (P), et des moyens de fermeture du logement (6), ces moyens comportant un couvercle amovible (14) pouvant être verrouillé mécaniquement sur la boîte (2) et un joint d'étanchéité (16) conformé pour être interposé entre le couvercle (14) et la boîte (2), cette pièce étant caractérisée en ce que le joint d'étanchéité (16) est un joint à lèvre plein s'étendant sur toute la surface frontale (SF) de la pile (P) et assurant, en plus de l'étanchéité du logement (6), un appui axial de la pile (P) vers un fond du logement (6). <IMAGE>
