[origin: EP0597804A1] In a fluid displacement apparatus for compressible media with a spiral conveying space arranged in a stationary housing, the space is assigned a spiral displacement body (1-4). This is held on a disc-shaped rotor, which can be driven eccentrically in relation to the housing, in such a manner that during operation each of its points carries out a circular movement which is delimited by the circumferential walls of the conveying space. The end faces of the displacement body which adjoin one side wall of the conveying space are provided with a groove (30), in which a sealing strip (9) consisting of elastic and slidable material lies.
