Abstract (en)
[origin: WO9301412A1] A space (40) defined between the cylinder (30) and the pack of plates (18) of the electric motor (14) of the compressor is open towards a projecting end portion (38) of a valve plate (36). A first intake silencer (44) constituted by a hollow body of plastics material is fixed to an outer face of the end portion (38). A second intake silencer, constituted by a second hollow body (46) is housed in the space (40), without thermal contact. The outlet of the second silencer (46) leads to an intake compartment (64) of a manifold (42). The intake compartment preferably contains a thermally insulating half-shell (74) which acts as a third silencer.
