[origin: WO9325686A1] In accordance with the present invention, there is provided a recombinant rabbit heavy chain variable domain, or single domain antibody having the ability to bind to a solid phase, for example, plastic, without a decrease in antigen capture capacity. The present invention further provides an improved immunological sandwich assay, such as an ELISA, in which the rabbit single domain antibody of the present invention is directly bound to the solid phase as the capture antibody. The resulting assay is less complex than systems currently utilized without any decrease in sensitivity.

L'invention concerne un anticorps de lapin recombiné à chaîne lourde à domaine unique ou à domaine variable, capable de se lier à une phase solide telle que du plastique sans que cela diminue sa capacité de capture des antigènes. L'invention se rapporte également à un procédé de titrage immunologique de type sandwich tel que l'ELISA dans lequel l'anticorps de lapin à domaine unique selon l'invention est directement lié à la phase solide en tant qu'anticorps de capture. Le procédé de titrage en résultant est moins complexe que les systèmes couramment utilisés sans que cela réduise la sensibilité.
