What is described is a method for treating a thread-like structure, especially a sewing yarn or other yarn, a slubbing or a roving, in which the thread-like structure is transported at a predetermined speed relative to a treatment appliance in order to vary its properties. The treatment appliance is designed in such a way that, during treatment, the thread-like structure is subjected to a spark discharge and/or to a brief arc discharge. An apparatus for carrying out the method has a treatment appliance which comprises a transport system for the thread-like structure as well as at least one electrode, located at a distance from at least one counterelectrode, for generating the spark discharge and/or the brief arc discharge, the at least one electrode and the at least one counterelectrode being connected to a voltage source. <IMAGE>
Abstract (de)
Es wird ein Verfahren zur Behandlung eines fadenartigen Gebildes, insbesondere eines Nähgarnes oder sonstigen Garnes, einer Lunte oder eines Vorgespinnstes, beschrieben, bei dem das fadenartige Gebilde zur Veränderung seiner Eigenschaften mit einer vorgegebenen Geschwindigkeit relativ zu einer Behandlungseinrichtung transportiert wird. Hierbei wird die Behandlungseinrichtung derartig ausgebildet, daß bei der Behandlung das fadenartige Gebilde einer Funken- und/oder kurzzeitigen Bogenentladung unterworfen wird. Eine Vorrichtung zur Durchführung des Verfahrens weist eine Behandlungseinrichtung auf, die ein Transportsystem für das fadenartige Gebilde sowie mindestens eine mit Abstand von mindestens einer Gegenelektrode angeordnete Elektrode zur Erzeugung der Funken- und/oder kurzzeitigen Bogenentladung umfaßt, wobei die mindestens eine Elektrode und die mindestens eine Gegenelektrode mit einer Spannungsquelle verbunden sind. <IMAGE>
