[origin: EP0598241A1] A lithographic printing material comprising an undercoat layer, a silver halide emulsion layer of the internal latent image type, and a physical development nucleus layer on a support is processed by a silver salt diffusion transfer process to provide a negative transfer silver image. The material contains a specific nucleating agent, preferably in the emulsion layer. The material has high sensitivity and high resolving power and can accommodate to high illuminance light sources. The resulting lithographic printing plate has satisfactory printability.
