Abstract (en)
The invention relates to a wideband radiating element for an antenna array, using microstrip technology. According to the invention, a patch (2) etched on a dielectric substrate (1) is placed at the bottom of a cavity (7) defined by conducting walls (8) which are, for example, cylindrical or of more complicated geometry. According to variants, the conducting wall (8) can pass through the dielectric substrate (1) in order to form an electrical contact with the earth plane (6); or a second resonator, which consists of a second patch (12) etched on a second thin dielectric substrate (11) may be placed in front of the cavity (7). The invention also deals with radiating sub-arrays produced from several of these radiating elements, as well as with antenna arrays produced from several of these sub-arrays. <IMAGE>

L'invention concerne un élément rayonnant large bande pour antenne réseau, utilisant une technologie microruban. Selon l'invention, un patch (2) gravé sur un substrat diélectrique (1) est placé au fond d'une cavité (7) définie par des parois conductrices (8), cylindriques par exemple ou de géométrie plus élaborée. Selon des variantes, la paroi conductrice (8) peut traverser le substrat diélectrique (1) pour former un contact électrique avec le plan de masse (6); ou encore un deuxième résonateur qui consiste en un deuxième patch gravé (12) sur un deuxième substrat diélectrique mince (11) peut être placé devant la cavité (7). L'invention porte également sur des sous-réseaux rayonnants réalisés à partir de plusieurs de ces éléments rayonnants, ainsi que sur des antennes réseau réalisés à partir de plusieurs de ces sous-réseaux. <IMAGE>
