Date Feb. 18, 1993.The invention relates to a hermaphrodite electrical connector providing safe electric power supply wiring without any risk of accidental disconnection. The connector (1) comprises a female contact part (3) provided with a contact socket (6), a male contact part (4) provided with a contact pin (8) and an insulating case (2) surrounding said parts. At the front, the case comprises a male tubular section (5) around the socket (6) and a female tubular section (7) around the pin (8). Said tubular sections are engageable in and on the corresponding sections of another similar connector and comprise locking members (10, 13). A plurality of said connectors (1) may be juxtaposed and mechanically and electrically connected by metal pins 17 in order to form a distribution block (21, 22). Such a connector may be used in electric power supply networks of very low voltage (12 V), low voltage (11, 220 V) or higher voltage.

L'invention a pour objet un connecteur permettant de réaliser des câblages d'alimentation électriques en toute sécurité et sans risque de débranchement accidentel. Le connecteur (1) comporte une pièce de contact femelle (3) pourvue d'une douille de contact (6), une pièce de contact mâle (4) pourvue d'une broche de contact (8), et un boîtier isolant (2) entourant ces pièces. A l'avant, le boîtier comporte une partie tubulaire mâle (5) autour de la douille (6) et une partie tubulaire femelle (7) autour de la broche (8). Ces parties tubulaires sont emboîtables dans et sur les parties correspondantes d'un autre connecteur semblable et comportent des organes de verrouillage (10, 13). Plusieurs de ces connecteurs (1) peuvent être juxtaposés et reliés mécaniquement et électriquement pour former un plot de distribution. Un tel connecteur est utilisable dans des réseaux d'alimentation électrique à très basse tension (12 V), à basse tension (110, 220 V) ou à tension plus élevée.
