A device for arresting paper, board, film or similar material rolls having touch-sensitive surfaces between the carrier arms of unwind devices or roll changers, as are used, for example, on rotary printing machines for the changing of expired rolls for full rolls at full machine running speed and in which the rolls are carried by power-actuated trunnions, which are driven into the winder cores of the roll, is designed in such a way that, power-actuated clamping elements (6) which arrest the roll (4) on its end faces are arranged on the carrier arms (2) of the unwind device (1) and axially parallel to the power-actuated trunnions (5). In this case, the clamping elements (6) are pressed onto the end faces of the roll (4) in such a way, that no forces effecting a displacement of the roll (4) are transmitted to the outer layers of the roll (4). <IMAGE>

Eine Vorrichtung für das Arretieren von Papier-, Pappe-, Folien- oder ähnlichen Materialrollen mit berührungsempfindlichen Oberflächen zwischen den Tragarmen von Abrollvorrichtungen bzw. Rollenwechslern, wie sie beispielsweise an Rotations-Druckmaschinen für das Wechseln von abgelaufenen und Vollrollen bei voller Maschinen-Laufgeschwindigkeit verwendet werden und bei denen die Rollen von kraftbetätigten Tragzapfen getragen werden, die in die Wickelhülsen der Rollen eingefahren sind, ist derart ausgestaltet, daß auf den Tragarmen (2) der Abrollvorrichtung (1) und achsparallel zu den kraftbetätigten Tragzapfen (5) kraftbetätigte, die Rolle (4) stirnseitig arretierende Spannelemente (6) angeordnet sind. Letztere werden dabei so an die Stirnflächen der Rolle (4) gedrückt, daß keine, eine Verschiebung der Rolle (4) bewirkenden Kräfte auf die äußeren Lagen der Rolle (4) übertragen werden. <IMAGE>
