[origin: EP0599051A1] Supporting element (10 to 13) for glass panes of windows, doors or the like, which is essentially configured as a panel (14), the underside of which (15) rests on a frame surface, the upper side (16) of which supports the glazing or the like, and which exhibits at least one bulge (18, 19) which projects resiliently out of the plane of the panel on the glass side, is directed transversely with respect to a longitudinal edge (17) of the panel and is connected on all sides, without interruptions, to the panel (14) via a bulge-edge portion (21) which is compliant at least on one bulge edge (20). For the specific adaptation of the supporting element to insulating glazing, it is configured such that the panel (14) exhibits, in the vicinity of each longitudinal edge (17), at least one resiliently projecting bulge (18, 18'), whose bulge length (wl), measured transversely with respect to the longitudinal edge (17) of the panel, is smaller than half the panel width (pb). <IMAGE>
