[origin: EP0599157A1] The invention relates to a powder-actuated bolt driving tool which is adjustable in its power and has an adjusting device (22) for altering the combustion chamber (23), which adjusting device comprises a support (26), adjustable axially in the barrel direction and bearing a retaining pawl (24) which is capable of pivoting into the barrel guide bore (3), which retaining pawl on the one hand is spring-biased into a substantially axially aligned position and on the other hand bears, at its end remote from the muzzle, a leaf spring (34) biased into the barrel guide bore (3), the barrel (4) having a slot (33), opening out at the rear, for travelling over the retaining pawl (24) and inward-directed pivoting of the same upon seizing the leaf spring (34), which slot is open on the muzzle side towards the barrel bore (4''), and the plunger (10) being provided with a groove (21) for the latching of the retaining pawl (24), and a driver (18) fixed to the housing being arranged in such a way that it displaces the plunger head (10') up to the barrel end (20) by drawing out the barrel (4) into the fully drawn-out position. <IMAGE>
