The device comprises preferably two conveyor tubes (2, 3), each with an inlet and an outlet in their end regions and with a conveying device (11) having internal receiving chambers (14), lateral conveyors (16) for the intermittent forward movement of a stock of tubular netting (7), as packaging material, provided on each conveyor tube (2, 3), and a closing and severing device (9) in the outlet end region of the conveyor tube (2, 3) located in the working position, for the purpose of closing and severing a filled portion of tubular netting (21). To increase the performance of the device, according to the invention the two conveyor tubes (2, 3) are arranged horizontally, the particular working conveyor tube is assigned, on the inlet side and on the outlet side, a compartment-forming rotary-flap arrangement (4, 5) for the particular portion of filling material, the closing and severing device (9) has grippers (39), rotating in one direction in a timed manner, for introducing a filled portion of tubular netting (21) into a closing and severing position and for severing it, and a device (45) for attaching a price-marking label to the filled portion of tubular netting is provided. <IMAGE>
