[origin: EP0599333A1] The invention relates to a rotary pump, especially for the conveyance of liquids containing solids, with a pump casing (10) of oval cross-section and with a pair of rotors (2, 2') which are arranged on shafts (20, 20') in the casing (10), engage into one another and can be driven in rotation in opposite directions and which each have a plurality of positive-displacement blades (21), at the radially outer end of each of which is arranged at least one exchangeable sealing strip (3) having a plastic or rubber covering (31) and, during rotation of the rotors (2, 2'), rotating so as to bear sealingly against the inside of the wall of the pump casing (10) and against the other respective rotor (2', 2), the sealing strips (3) being capable of being pushed onto the positive-displacement blades (21) in the axial direction by means of a tongue-and-groove connection and being fixable on these by retention means. The new rotary pump is characterised in that the retention means consist, for each sealing strip (3), of at least one clamping wedge (33) which can be displaced by means of an actuating element accessible from the end face of the sealing strip. <IMAGE>
