Abstract (en)
The modular plug connector system comprises a plug frame consisting of a plurality of frame parts (1-4; 1'-4') (which are screwed together), a plurality of insulating bodies (6-13; 6'-13') which are fixed in the plug-in frame and have parallel outer bearing surfaces, and outer retaining surfaces which extend transversely with respect to the bearing surfaces and are provided with retaining projections (27, 28; 27', 28'). These retaining surfaces are at a corresponding mutual distance from one another and are gripped by two frame parts (3, 4; 3', 4') of the plug-in frame in such a manner that any movement of the insulating bodies (6-13; 6'-13') transversely with respect to the plane of the plug-in frame is prevented. A large number of contact elements (14, 15; 14', 15') are fixed in retaining holes passing through the insulating bodies, are used for transmitting power and signals and are constructed in the form of pin and/or socket and/or coaxial contacts. According to the invention, at least one of the insulating bodies (8-11; 8'-11') in each plug-in frame is formed from two parts (23, 24; 23', 24'), one of which parts contains the contact elements; these end on the one hand in plug or socket contacts (25; 25'), which are mounted in a protected manner in this part, and on the other hand in insulation-piercing terminal contacts, which project beyond this first part, for connection to a flat cable (16; 16'). The latter is connected between the first part (23; 23') and a pressed-on second part (24; 24') which engages over the first part (23, 23') in a firmly gripping manner by means of outer webs (25, 26; 25', 26') and has the retaining projections (27, 28; 27', 28') on its web outer surfaces. <IMAGE>
Abstract (de)
<IMAGE>
