Abstract (en)
Device intended for laterally charging iron and steel industry products, such as, in particular, ingots (billets), directly into the heating zone of a furnace, especially a reheating furnace, to which the iron and steel industry products are brought by a handling means of known type, this device being characterised in that it includes a chute (14) on which the product (10) is placed by the handling means, before lateral charging into the furnace, this chute being used for supporting the said product during the charging into the furnace and being provided for this purpose with displacement means (40-46) for inserting it into the furnace at the same time as the product which it supports, means (48) being furthermore provided for depositing the said product into the furnace from the said chute.

Dispositif destiné à assurer l'introduction latérale de produits sidérurgiques, tels que notamment des billettes, directement dans la zone de chauffe d'un four, notamment d'un four de réchauffage, auquel lesdits produits sidérurgiques sont amenés par un moyen de manutention de type connu, ce dispositif étant caractérisé en ce qu'il comporte une goulotte (14) sur laquelle le produit (10) est déposé par le moyen de manutention, avant l'introduction latérale dans le four, cette goulotte servant de support audit produit lors de l'introduction dans le four et étant munie à cet effet de moyens de déplacement (40-46) pour assurer son enfournement en même temps que le produit qu'elle supporte, des moyens (48) étant en outre prévus pour assurer la dépose dudit produit dans le four à partir de ladite goulotte.
