[origin: EP0599738A1] The invention relates to a fluid-tight piston pump comprising, in the open cavity (1) of the pump body (2), a circular monobloc assembly (7) composed of a central cylindrical piston (6) coupled, by means of a rod (3), to a member for driving the piston with a reciprocating movement along its longitudinal axis (9), of a ring (4) placed on the pump body and having an annular duct (10) hollowed out of it, and of a deformable thinned part (5) joining the piston (6) to the ring (4), the said monobloc assembly (7) and the said pump body (2) being secured in leaktight fashion. What is more, the monobloc assembly (7) is produced from a synthetic, flexible, mechanically strong and chemically resistive material. The invention applies to ink jet printers. <IMAGE>
