Abstract (en)

[origin: EP0599742A1] The invention relates to a medium- or high-voltage circuit breaker or switch comprising:- - a main circuit equipped with at least one main fixed contact (30a) and with at least one main moving contact (30b) mounted so as to pivot about a spindle (3); - an auxiliary circuit, arranged in parallel with respect to the main circuit and equipped with a fixed auxiliary contact (35) and with a moving auxiliary contact (25) mounted so as to pivot on the same spindle. According to the invention, the mechanism for driving the moving contacts includes a mechanism for variable angular phase-shifting, able to make the relative angular positions of the moving auxiliary contact and of the moving main contact vary during operation of the switch. <IMAGE>
