[origin: EP0599748A1] The articulator according to the invention comprises an upper member (2) whose rear hub (12) is articulated on condylar balls integral with a lower member (1). Each of the upper (2) and lower (1) members receives mounting plates (17, 5). Each mounting plate (17, 5) is fitted by an elastic snap-lock means (18) and two centring means (20, 22), each of the centring means preventing lateral displacement of the corresponding mounting plate (17, 5). This arrangement allows both the mounting plates (17, 5) and the upper (2) and lower (1) members to be made of moulded plastic, whilst ensuring accurate positioning of the mounting plates. The articulator may thus accurately reproduce the mandibular movements of the human jaw. <IMAGE>
