The invention relates to a plate heat exchanger consisting of a plurality of heat exchanger plates (1a and 1b) which are in each case arranged in pairs with the interposition of a circumferential seal (2a, 2b) constructed as a ring. One medium participating in the heat exchange flows in the flow ducts formed between one pair of plates, and the other medium participating in the heat exchange flows in those flow ducts which are formed between adjacent pairs of plates. The seals (2a, 2b) are arranged in receptacles, constructed for this purpose, on the two sides of the heat exchange plates (1a and 1b respectively) and in the neutral plane of the heat exchange plates (1a and 1b respectively). In order to achieve an adhesive-free mounting of the seals (2a and 2b) on the heat exchange plates (1a and 1b respectively), the seals (2a, 2b) bearing against the two sides of a heat exchange plate (1a) are permanently connected to one another in pairs by connecting elements (3) which grip an edge of the heat exchange plate (1a), and can be connected to one another by coupling elements (4) arranged at least in the region of one of the three other edges. <IMAGE>

Die Erfindung betrifft einen Plattenwärmetauscher aus einer Mehrzahl von Wärmetauscherplatten (1a und 1b), die jeweils unter Zwischenfügen einer umlaufenden, als Ring ausgebildeten Dichtung (2a,2b) paarweise angeordnet sind, wobei das eine am Wärmeaustausch teilnehmende Medium in den zwischen einem Plattenpaar gebildeten Strömungskanälen und das andere am Wärmeaustausch teilnehmende Medium in denjenigen Strömungskanälen strömt, die zwischen benachbarten Plattenpaaren gebildet sind. Die Dichtungen (2a,2b) sind in hierfür ausgebildeten Aufnahmen in beiden Seiten der Wärmetauscherplatten (1a und 1b) und in der neutralen Ebene der Wärmetauscherplatten (1a bzw. 1b) angeordnet. Um eine klebstofffreie Befestigung der Dichtungen (2a und 2b) an den Wärmetauscherplatten (1a bzw. 1b) zu erzielen, sind die an den beiden Seiten einer Wärmetauscherplatte (1a) anliegenden Dichtungen (2a,2b) paarweise durch eine Kante der Wärmetauscherplatte (1a) umgreifende Verbindungselemente (3) fest miteinander verbunden und durch mindestens im Bereich einer der drei anderen Kanten angeordnete Kupplungselemente (4) miteinander verbindbar. <IMAGE>
