Abstract (en)
[origin: EP0600206A1] Drive sealing on a pneumatic fastener driving tool having a working cylinder (1), in which a working piston is movable between two dead centres and in which a flexible stop (5) defines the bottom dead centre, a driving-in ram (14) which is held by the working piston and passes through a passage (13) in the stop, a control valve which can be actuated by a trigger and connects a working stroke space for piston movement to the bottom dead centre with compressed air and for piston movement to the top dead centre with atmosphere, a piston return chamber (2) which surrounds the working cylinder and is connected with the working cylinder (1) via a first opening (4) close to the stop (5) and a second opening at a distance from the stop (5), and a mouth tool (15) with a driving-in channel (23) which guides the driving-in ram (14), with an opening (18) to a magazine (19) for fasteners (22), which opening leads into the movement region of the driving-in ram, and with a vent slot (25) which is open to the passage (13) in the stop and sealingly covers the driving-in ram (14) during the piston movement to the bottom dead centre, the stop (5) having, in the extension of the passage (13) for the driving-in ram (14), a receptacle (12) into which a connecting section (16), containing the driving-in channel (23), of the mouth tool (15) is sealingly inserted with elastic prestress. <IMAGE>
