[origin: EP0600321A1] The portable bridge is assembled from individual bridge sections (A). Each bridge section (A) has the following detachably interconnected parts: two truss arrangements (10) - in each case one on each bridge side - each having a top boom (13), a bottom boom (14) and diagonal braces (16) and transverse supports (23). The truss arrangements (10) can be folded up into one plane for transportation. The transverse supports (23) project laterally beyond the bottom boom or the innermost bottom-boom profile (14) of the truss arrangements (10). On each bridge side there is a positive connection (21, 22) between top boom (13) and transverse supports (23) in two different planes running in each case parallel to the bridge longitudinal direction (corresponding to the truss walls 11, 12). <IMAGE>
