[origin: DE4128647A1] The invention concerns the use, as the base oil for two-stroke engine lubricant, of esters of isopalmitic acid of branched-chain aliphatic polyols having 2 to 6 primary hydroxy groups and 4 to 10 C-atoms. Such esters have a low viscosity, even at low temperatures, and show no tendency over periods of several days to crystallize out of petrol.
