[origin: US5494485A] An epilating appliance for the removal of human body hair, with a casing adapted to be held in the user's hand, with a rotary cylinder including pincer elements driven by a motor. At least one actuator element extends through the rotary cylinder for actuating the pincer elements coupled thereto. The actuator element being operable by an associated pressure element and being displaceable against the pressure of a spring, wherein structure is provided for adjusting the gripping force of the pincer elements.

Appareil à épiler pour ôter les poils sur le corps humain, comportant un boîtier pouvant être tenu dans la main de l'utilisateur, avec un cylindre rotatif entraîné par un moteur et présentant des éléments de serrage, et avec au moins un élément d'actionnement traversant le cylindre rotatif pour l'actionnement des éléments de serrage couplés avec cet élément d'actionnement. Ce dernier est actionnable au moyen d'un élément de pression associé et déplaçable en opposition à la pression d'un ressort, des moyens étant prévus pour le réglage de la force de serrage des éléments de serrage.
