In a stablising device for the increase of the surge margin of a compressor, which device consists of a ring (1), mounted fixedly on the vanes (2) of the impeller (3), and a recess (5) in the housing (4) of the compressor in the form of a rotationally symmetrical groove, the ring (1) is restricted to the entry region of the impeller (3) and is mounted there in such a way that it is movable in the recess (5) when the impeller (3) is rotating, there being only the usual narrow clearance between the ring (1) and the wall of the housing (4). This prevents the formation of a gap flow from the vane side with high pressure to that with low pressure, which leads to an increase in the degree of efficiency of the compressor and to the broadening of the compressor characteristic. At the same time, the vibration loading of the vanes is reduced. <IMAGE>
Abstract (de)
Bei einer Stabilisierungseinrichtung zur Kennfelderweiterung eines Verdichters, welche aus einem fest auf den Laufschaufeln (2) des Laufrades (3) angebrachten Ring (1) und einer Ausnehmung (5) im Gehäuse (4) des Verdichters in Form einer rotationssymmetrischen Nut besteht, ist der Ring (1) auf den Eintrittsbereich des Laufrades (3) beschränkt und dort so angebracht, dass er in der Ausnehmung (5) bei Rotation des Laufrades (3) beweglich ist, wobei zwischen dem Ring (1) und der Wand des Gehäuses (4) nur ein übliches enges Spiel besteht. Dadurch wird die Ausbildung einer Spaltströmung von der Schaufelseite mit hohem Druck zu der mit niedrigem Druck verhindert, was zur Erhöhung des Wirkungsgrades des Verdichters und zur Verbreiterung der Verdichterkennlinie führt. Gleichzeitig wird die Schwingungsbelastung der Schaufeln gesenkt. <IMAGE>
